#1. Pretend that you are talking to a blind man and have to describe for him what "red" is. You should use narrative and descriptive writing techniques, and try to appeal to his other senses!

Red, is this color had a temperature it would be hot imagine your fringer tips burning as they slowly aproach a burning object your finger tips would feel warm, one could say red. When one is ligth skinned enough and he/ she blushes theyre cheeks turn pink and in some cases red which at that point the cheeks are warm , there is no other way red can be described , warm, hot the color of blood . The color of an apple ripe in it's time perfect for one to undulge in its juicy core and red cover which when rubben upon ones clothes it takes a unique red shine.

#2. How does competition function in our society? To what extent is it healthy/unhealthy? Offer some real world examples taken from your life, community, culture, state, nation, or world

Life, it is all a competition grades, money, cars, looks, popularity, sense of humor etc. the list goes on. Competition is good because it teaches us ways to motivate one self to achieve a goal which is common. Personally i am a very competitive person , i don't play to get even i play to win and i take all competition very seriously and put all my effort towards something and won't quit until i achieve it.Competition is healthy until it gets violent among the people competing unless the competitions purpose is violence.

#3. How have you taken something that you have learned in the classroom and integrated it into your nonacademic life?

Well usually i don't use anything that we learn in the classroom outside of class but your class is my favorite so i decided to try it . One day we were learning about passive sentences and grammar and stuff like that and you said , when you go on facebook look at what your friends post and correct it and fix it , now everytime i go on facebook and see a status or something written in a bad format or grammar i correct it in my head and the first thing i do is it written in third person ? First person ? what is misspelled? and then i think , ahah Ms.Eddy's advice is helping me ! i think that is the only lesson or advice ive used outside school, now everytime i see my sentences in a timed write i do the same thing correct it in my head and now it has become like a habit , thank you Ms.Eddy it really helps.

#4. If you could go back in time and be someone in history, who would you choose to be? Why?

If i could go back in time and be anybody i would be Indiana Jones. He is my favorite movie character of all times he goes anywhere he wants he can do anything, he is super smart because he is a college professor. He is also a history major which i want to be when i go to college and he can beat people up with his whip. That is why i want to be Indiana Jones .

#5. If you had the responsibility to decide where $1 million should be spent to improve conditions somewhere in the world, what project(s) would you choose? Why?

If i could give a cause one million dollars i would make it my cause to find homeless peoples family. Most homeless people have families they just don't know it and if they didn't have families i would invest money in making a community and when the money ran out i would make a donation center so people could donate money or food and clothes so that the homeless could live a happy life. Everybody deserves to live a happy life and if they needed medical attention or anything of that nature there would be doctors it would be a little city .

#6. How have you tried to effect change in relation to an issue of personal, local, or national significance?

#7. If you could introduce one new idea or material thing to a primitive culture, what would it be?

If there was one thing i could introduce into a culture it would be freedom. Freedom is a gateway to everything , it will lead people to new ideas which will lead to new advances in technology politics system structure and just their way of life. For example in the middle east women are constantly oppresed by men who in their culture and religion have the idea that men are superior so they deny them freedom of speech they can't leave their home and they can't even think and if they do they cannot express their ideas out loud if not they will get stoned to death .Freedom is something people here in the United States take for granted which is wrong , "You wont know what you have until you lose it" and i hope we dont lose freedom.

#8. If you were to describe yourself using a quotation, what would that quotation be? After you have chosen a quote, then write a bit about how it relates to you and reveals what kind of person you are.

This is the quote that i think describes me , i try to live by this as it is a way of thinking and making decisions. It doesn't literally mean keep your eyes clear it is symbolic for look at the clear picture , look at things how they are don't be blinded by feelings or emotions of any sort.Full heart is also symbolic it means that you should put your full heart into everything you do and you cannot lose. I think that living by this it will make you not trust anybody but that is not always bad because when one is trustful one is vunarable and wehn one is vunarable one can be betrayed, so i trust this motto to lead my life .

#9. Given the authority to establish a holiday, what would you choose to commemorate? Why? What would the celebration look like?

If i had the power to establish a national holiday i would establish national scrubby day. It would be a day where nobody does their hair and people don't wear make up, instead of dressing up for work, people would go to work in pijamas and robes. It would be a day that nobody would judge you for being lazy , its like halloween but instead of getting dressed up you don't try .It would also be a day to see people how they really are, with out make up with out getting ready , personally i am very self concious about how i look i hate looking scrubby or bad , so this would be an uncomfortable day for me but it would be funny .

#10. What is the best advice you've ever received? Explain.

"Let people talk about you, doesn't matter if they talk bad , it doesn't matter if they talk good, as long as they're talking about you." I dont remeber who told me this but i never forget it. When ever i hear somebody talking about me bad or good it doesn't bother me. if it's bad i just think to my self, that person must have a boring life because they take time out of they're boring day to talk bad about me , and the sad part is that half of the stuff i hear is not even true, it just makes it funnier. When i hear things said about me from other people that aren't true i think to myself, hmmm i wonder who started this rumor and how they thougth of it?

#11. Ask and answer the one important question that a university won't ask you, but you wish they would.

I wish that colleges asked, "why college, so many peers are choosing community colleges, why not fallow? what expirience in life made you think , i am defenitly going to college?. I want colleges to know that i come from a divorced mom who worked endlessly for me and my sister and i hated seeing her being tired and not being satisfied, i want to give my family everything and anything they need i want to make money and buy my mom a house so she can live in worry free and not have to work, and i don't want to fallow in people footsteps because my whole life growing up i have loved attention more than i should, i figth to standout so why blend in in the most important part of life, education i want to receieve a degree and make money, have a nice house, nice car, nice life and give those around me everything i can and anything they want.

#12.Your life is a movie. Describe the first 15 minutes.

It would start off by me waking up in the morning with finding no point in getting up, then realizing that i am tired of being told what to do at home so i need to do good in school to go to college. After i wake up it would show me getting ready and having breakfast. On my way to school it would emphazise the fact that i am bewildered why my parents are still dissapointed in me even though i try my hardest and it would show me in the car sitting there, listening to my mom tell me what i haven't done and need to do , even though i know and have a reason for my choices i still listen. After leaving the car it would narrarate in third person imnoscient my thougths about my life as i walk from the edge of the parking lot to my locker i would think about what my mom had told me and my thougths on my choices and dougthing my slef but then underscoring the fact that i know what's best for me in some situations and it would zoom out on me opening my locker and talking to my friends.....

#13. Write a letter to your future college roommate introducing yourself and your background.

Dear Roomate,

I am Mexican - American, i was born here in San Diego but my parents and grandparents are Mexican.I attended Castle Park High School and i plan to major in History and something else which i haven't decided yet.Hopefully we can help each other out with homeworks or assignmentsand if we have the same classes it would be of even bigger help. Im eager to meet you, your new roomate

#14. Please describe your reactions/ideas to the following quote: "He does not possess wealth, it possesses him."

Money, it can bring out the best or  worst in people. It can make them lose control over them selves and just be concious over their money. In the quote "He does not possess wealth, it possesses him." it is expressing the fact that a man migth be living and working for his money instead of his money working for him.For example, a man wouln't enjoy his money because he would be too worried to spend it and not have as much money, as a man that enjoys and his money works for him he will enjoy his money to the fullest. A man who is possesed by wealth will not know what to do in a situation where money is not abundant and will believe he is better than everybody else just because he has more money than the avarage person.

#15. What is the most valuable contribution you could make to a college campus? Explain.

I want to attend San Diego State University, not only because it is close but because last year when i was a sophmore we were taken to SDSU on a field trip and i enjoyed it , the campus was very nice and i am intirested in what they offer.I would like to major in History.I am aware if the fact that there is hundreds of thousands of students that attend this campus every year and for one person to make a difference and stand out, will be difficult. If i were to be accepted into San Diego State University i would offer my dedication and learning ability to know everything im supposed to and impress my teachers with test scores and effort.I want to make something for my self, to let them  know that i am there with a purpose and not just because i got in so i went and majored in some randon subject, i chose SDSU and i am there with a purpose, the purpose to major in history and dominate my classes and test and make a substancial impression.

#16. Explain a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dillema you have faced and its impact on you.

An expirience that still has impact on me is the first time that i stayed home alone. it was about 3 or 4 years ago. I woke up and there was nobody home it was a saturday, i called my mom and they had left to see my grandparents early and didn't want to wake me up so they let me sleep. I was kind of confused at first and i turned on the TV in the living room, after a while i got hungry and thougth about what i wanted to eat for breakfast, im not really sure what i had for breakfast but im pretty sure it was french fries and nutella.I decided to eat in the living room laying down in the sofa because i am never allowed to do that and bougth a movie on pay per view and passed out after a while, i never did finish that movie. After that i had a grilled cheese for lunch, only because we have that machine to make them fast, and i kept eating ice cream and ordered pizza.I remeber it getting dark out and not really being nervous intil it was time to sleep i was a little worried.I tried to stay up but couldn't , this expirience served me because i learned to take care of myslef even though it was in a limited way it was a big thing for me as i was about 11 years old .

#17. Discuss some issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.

A national issue that really bothers me is people being fired because of budget problems. For example teachers being fired because they have been at a certain position for a long time , it is not fair just because it is cheaper to pay a new teacher less money doesn't mean the school district should do it .Not just teachers but people in general being fired by giant corporations who treat people like they don't matter when in reality they have families they need to feed, children who need clothes and just to be happy. A similar issue is people being paid less for doing the same work as somebody with more education. If two people are doing the same quantity and quality or work they should be getting payed the same even thougth education matter if it is the same kind of work and there is no difference a downgrade in the less educated persons check should not be allowed.People should be treated as people not as disposable items that can be fired for something cheaper .

#18. If you could choose two things to change about our high school campus, what would they be and why?

Castle Park High School, Once a school that was respected, feared upon when relating to sports, great athletes now public figures emerging from Castle Park. Now Castle Park is on the news but not for the positive things. If i could change two things about our campus one of it would be the reputation of our school. These past couple years Castle Park has been on the news from Principal scandals, to Sexual Harrasment allegations and even drug charges on one of our teachers.Castle Park is a great school with great teachers and students but people who do not attend this school sont understand that the school is not about what they read about in the Six a clock news, but about the positive things as well. There is negative sitiatipons in school all over, but people choose to Focus On Castle Park as it has had the "Gethoo" Reputation for a couple of years now, and the new circumstances and allegations roaming our school are not helping to change peoples mind. The second thing i would Change is the administration running our school, the ASB specially. In years past we had some of the best assemblies now people are walking out. If the school is in such a bad situation as i stated before why not let the students parent and teacher come out at games and assemblies and enjoy the school and school spirit, but i guess that is not the way the ASB feels. For homecoming it was traditiong the the football field be painted with a big "CP" in the middle as it is a special occasion, the ASB felt it wasn't necessary to do that. The assemblies which lift up school spirits and remind students and teachers of the reason they come here and not another school ,are now being walked out upon and half of the school doesn't even bother showing up .Our Principal Ms.SandovaL-Johnson, doesn't even interaxt with the school she is running.Mr.Ochoa knew most of the students by name and everytime he would see a student he would wave or just a friendly hello would suffice , but the new principal isn't even out there during lunch. At our school open house where the purpose is for parets to meet the faculty and staff , most people at open house weren't sure who the principal was as she didn't properly introduce herself.I believe that our campus can be great again but work is needed from eacch and everyone of us to make it happen.
